Terms and Conditions
Bookings can be made online at www.degale.com or via Power Hostels or Hostel Bookers websites.
All bookings which we receive via www.degale.com Power Hostels, or Hostel Bookers, are guaranteed bookings. Once I receive your booking information online I will proceed to take the rest of the booking online and will send you an email confirming this. Unless specified otherwise, guaranteed bookings can be cancelled at any time using www.degale.com to send an e-mail, or by calling 0781 58 77 601. Canceling in advance or as late as the day of your visit will incur a charge for all of your nights booked.
Reduced Night Rates Special Offers
There are no refunds for these nights.
Generanl booking Refunds
All of our bookings require you to pay your deposit via Power Hostels or Hostel Bookers Booking engine when booking, which is non refundable. If you are unable to honor your booking by failing to attend or by telephoning or emailing to cancel, A minimum single night cancellation fee will be charged or all of the nights cancelled. Should any of the unused nights be re-sold, the booker will be refunded those nights minus (less) the cost of the online banking charges.
No Shows
Single or multi night bookings. In the event of a 'no show' or a guest failing to cancel their booking and also failing to arrive at the house as booked, will be charged the full cost of the single night booked or all the nights in a multi night booking. The reason for this is to recoup the cost of preparing the room, and the loss of opportunity to resell the unused booking. Should any of the unused nights be re-sold, the booker will be refunded those nights minus (less) the cost of the online banking charges.
Unsecured Offers
All offers/information of availability given to inquirers who have not secured the Studio/En suite room by use of online payment, will be treated as provisional bookings. deGale.com reserves the right to withdraw the provisional offer at short notice should a new booker request the provisionally offered dates and proceeds to pay online. This, we appreciate can cause disappointment so we will endeavor to give as much notice as possible of the loss of the provisional booking. We will, where possible, not give shorter than 7 days notice to the provisional booker of the loss of the unsecured booking.
If leaving early from a multi-night stay, please advise me in good time. If the first night of a multi-night stay is missed, that night will be charged for and the rest of the reservation cancelled. The accommodation costs will not be refunded unless it has been possible to sell the remaining dates.
Bookings made on behalf of someone else can be made using a credit or debit card and booking on line. You must explain this in the comments part of the bookings page. You will be treated as the principal booker in the event of a claim against the guest.
Twin Beds
The Studio and En suite Single Room can sleep up to two people - 2 adults in the twin beds. Please note that in both rooms when both twin beds are used the space in the rooms becomes limited around and between the beds. Only when there is one adult is there comfortable space for the child cot. Please look at the interior photos carefully so you are aware of how limited the space is when in twin occupancy particularly in the En suite Single Room.
Stored Single Bed
When the Studio and the En suite Single Room are not being occupied by 2 people the other bed is some times stored upright in each room to allow extra space.
Babies
Regarding babies, bedding is available (a sheet and 2 blankets), but for their comfort, you would be well advised to provide bedding from home, which the child is familiar with. It is only practical to use the child cot when only one adult is staying in either room.
Disabled Guests
The Studio and En suite Single Room facilities are accessible to disabled guests who are able to walk and climb one step to enter and leave the Studio and a flight of stairs to reach the En suite Single Room. Wheel chair access is not possible due to the limited size of the Studio and En suite Single Room.
Non-smoking: All areas in the Studio and En suite Single Room are non-smoking. Guests who wish to smoke are advised to use the forecourt and close the front door behind them so as not to let the smoke be drawn back into the house. Please specify if you are a smoker when booking.
Pets
Pets cannot accompany guests.
Check-In
I am normally available from 5.30pm. Guests must inform me when they make their booking about when they will be arriving so that I know when to expect them for collection of payments.
Code locks
Code locks are now in use which allows guests to not be restricted in their arrival times after midday (13:00). Departure is up-to 10am. Some flexibility can be arranged around these times depending on your needs and whether or not another guest is booked in after your departure.Included in the price of the Studio and En suite Single Room are teas, coffee, sugar, dried milk and mini packet of cereals. Please note that these are provided to assist late night arrivals and those departing early, mainly on stop over flights from Liverpool airport. Other guests have the time to visit the local shops to purchase their self-catering provisions.
The HdeG Rooms reserves the right to periodically review its room prices. Any increased price will be advised at the time of booking on the website and when you use your card to pay for your booking.
In the event of malicious, wilful or negligent room or other property damage, HdeG Rooms will charge the amount of any loss sustained by HdeG Rooms, including business interruption losses to the credit/debit card of the registered customer. Where payment by the customer was made by means other than credit/debit card, HdeG Rooms will pursue the matter through the civil courts.
